Here is another Korean cosmetic brand which I really like - The Saem. It is a pretty popular high street brand in Korea, similar to Innisfree, Etude House, Nature Republic, Holika Holika, and the likes.
I love korean cosmetics. Most of them have good quality, affordable pricing and adorable packaging. It's too bad The Saem isn't available here in Malaysia.
Today's review is on The Saem Saemmul Single Blusher. I bought these online in 3 shades: Mandarin Kiss, Naked Peach and Orchid Rumor.
Description
The blusher is made of fine powder for natural coloring, giving a clear color with long lasting effect. It contains sebum control powder and gives a perfect silky finish.
Ingredients
Birch sap, natural cellulose, vitamin E derivatives, damask rose water, seven jewel powder complex (amethyst, pearl, coral, tourmaline, amber, okseol, ruby)
Price
The Saem isn't available in Malaysia, so I bought these online for 3.39 USD each (approximately RM 12.50 each)

Packaging
Each blusher comes in a flat, round plastic case with a transparent cover. Again, I must state how much I like packaging which shows an indication of the product's color.
Imagine if the cover wasn't transparent, you can't see the blusher's color, and you have to keep looking under each case to check the color shade. Ugh. Much horror.
Each of the blusher has The Saem's flowery leaves logo embossed on the surface. So pretty and cutesy.

Mandarin Kiss: Slight shimmer
Naked Peach: Slight shimmer
Orchid Rumor: Matte
Naked Peach: Slight shimmer
Orchid Rumor: Matte
Color
The colors all look very natural when applied onto my cheeks. Each shade gives a light, shimmery color. I personally do not like blushers which are very pigmented. God forbid if I apply too much by accident and end up looking like a clown. Saemmul's shades are all very suitable for warm toned skins. I initially thought Orchid Rumor would be too cool toned for my Asian skin, but it turned out looking wonderfully natural.
Texture
These blushers are quite powdery. I use my large Sigma fluffy brush to apply blushers, and every time I swirl my brush around the pan, I am able to see quite a bit of blush powder falling out. Upon application to my cheeks, however, it doesn't feel that powdery after all. There isn't a heap load of fallout, which is great!
Staying Power
The staying power of these blushers are decent. I have mild oily/combination skin and these stayed on for almost the entire day. I usually touch up with my foundation pact twice throughout the day, once during lunch time and the second around 6 pm before dinner. I powder over my cheeks during the touch ups, and I am still able to see a subtle hint of color towards the end of the day!
Pros
- Affordable pricing
- Good quality
- Light and natural colors
- Product range has both shimmery and matte shades
- Colors look good on Asian warm toned skins
- Not too pigmented
Cons
- The Saem brand isn't available in Malaysia
- Some people prefer more pigmented colors
Final Verdict
The Saem Saemmul Single Blusher is a great product overall. I wouldn't say that it is something you must buy, it's just something which is good to have. The price of each blusher is really cheap in my opinion, and it is definitely worth it for a blusher of such good quality. It is a great blusher for girls who want a fuss-free application and don't want the hassle of blending pigmented blushers.
